Dear Colleagues and Participants, We are pleased to invite you to the 20th International Congress on Quality Accreditation and Patient Safety in Healthcare, organized by the Society of Health Academicians (SAD) and the University of North Carolina Pembroke (UNC-P) in Antalya, from April 22 to 25, 2026, with the main theme being "Quality and accreditation standards in healthcare services, the relationship between health financing and sustainability, and artificial intelligence.". Today, the management of healthcare services is measured not only by clinical success, but also by the integration of quality, patient safety, financial sustainability, and technological innovation. Healthcare systems are compelled to develop new strategies in the face of growing demand, limited resources, demographic transitions, and rapidly advancing technologies. In this context, the three main focus areas of our congress represent complementary and critical elements that are shaping the healthcare ecosystem of the future: 1. Quality and Accreditation Standards International quality and accreditation standards in healthcare serve as guiding frameworks for institutions in building clinical effectiveness, patient safety, sound management processes, and a culture of continuous improvement. Key practices include: Patient safety–oriented approaches Performance indicators Quality management systems in digital hospitals Transparent reporting of clinical outcomes These not only enhance institutional performance but also strengthen competitiveness on a global scale. 2. Healthcare Financing and Sustainability The continuity of high-quality healthcare depends not only on clinical excellence but also on financial sustainability. Critical factors include: Health insurance systems Public–private partnership models Value-based healthcare financing Effective and equitable allocation of resources The sustainability of financial models directly affects both the accessibility and the quality of healthcare services.
3. Integration of Artificial Intelligence Artificial intelligence (AI) introduces transformative innovations into healthcare management and service delivery. Clinical decision support systems Early diagnosis and risk prediction of diseases Process automation and resource management Cost optimization through big data analytics Personalization of patient experience AI-supported systems not only improve efficiency but also provide predictability and proactive management opportunities in healthcare. Purpose of the Congress With the contributions of our esteemed participants, I am confident that we will take significant steps toward excellence and sustainability in healthcare services. Sincerely, |
